Underprivileged Children Aspire to Build a Future of Their Dreams

Arpana Trust provides tuition support to children from slum resettlement colonies whose families have migrated from India’s poorest states. Most of these children come from illiterate backgrounds and are at a loss when they cannot comprehend a concept.

As newcomers to the urban landscape, they face a complex mix of ethnicities, cultures, and religions, navigating daily challenges for survival, security, and advancement.

Arpana is nurturing their untapped potential and talents in its Education Support Center. Here, they get guidance, support, and personal attention as they struggle to understand lessons from their Government schools, as well as to cope with the challenges of living in their environment. The aim is to give quality education to these children for their holistic development.

Balvatika (Nursery School)

Arpana members saw that residents of Gautampuri colonies in Molarbund in the lower strata of society, needed to go out and work as laborers, domestic help, etc. to support their families. However, as their children were not properly looked after, Arpana established the Balvatika. This was a true blessing, especially for mothers, who could leave their children safely during the day, while seeing them growing and learning beautifully during their early childhood years.

The Balvatika has Junior Classes for children aged 3 to 4 years and Senior Classes for 4 to 5 years. 301 children benefitted from the Balvatika programs during the year.

Playway Methods for Holistic Development include:

  • Morning Exercises promote fitness, for their holistic development
